Scio City Council Election Packets Available Now!!!

Any Scio Citizen, ages 18 or older, living within the Scio city limits are encouraged to get involved with their community and consider running for the Scio City Council. City Council election packets can be picked up at Scio City Hall, 38957 NW 1st Avenue, Scio, Oregon, 97374.  Interested parties can also call City Hall at (503) 394-3342 and request that a packet be sent to their home.  A copy of the packet can be downloaded from the drop down list. All election forms must be submitted and appointments with the Scio Elections Official made, on or before 5:00 pm, Friday, August 24, 2018. Debbie  Sims-Nuber Candidate Statement

My name is Debbie Sims-Nuber, and I am running for Scio City Council. I am a retired health care worker.  I worked with the elderly and the mentally challenged, so I understand the needs of our older people and those with special needs.  I graduated from Scio High School in 1971.  For my healthcare job, I had to have 10 college credits (In health care) a year, every year I worked. I was on the Planning Commission for several years and four years as a Scio City Councilor.  The last year and a half I was the Council President. I will work hard to represent all Scio’s citizens and to do the best job possible for Scio.
