Scio Public Library

The Scio Public Library is located in the Scio City Hall building. The main entrance to the Library is from NW Alder Street across the street from the Scio School District Office and the Scio Middle School. The library currently has a collection of approximately 11,548 books, periodicals, audio and visual items. You may browse the collection by clicking on the link to the card catalog. There are several different types of membership to the library. Patrons who live within the city limits pay for their membership through property taxes. People who live outside of the city limits may purchase a membership which covers all household members for $30.00. The application for a new patron account is located in the left navigation bar as well as information on the types of library membership. Membership benefits: Patrons may check out a limited number of items from the library, or cardholders may request books from from one of the Linn Library Consortium Libraries (Albany, Harrisburg, Lebanon, Linn Benton Community College, or Sweet Home) and have them delivered to the Scio library via courier. Up to five items from other libraries may be checked out at one time. Books may be returned to the Scio Public Library. The courier drop off and pick up items on Tuesdays and Thursdays. There is no charge for the service.
